About Joost Belonje

I’m curious by nature — about people, their behavior, and what they achieve in life. Stories that spark excitement about growth and development are what truly inspires me.

As a relatively new resident of Rotterdam, I enjoy exploring the many faces of this city. It breathes opportunity, drive, creativity, and resilience — values that resonate deeply with me.

I’m someone who likes to get things done, preferably in ways that haven’t been tried before, or haven’t yet been perfected. Whether in a personal or professional setting, I strive to give my best.

I have been active in the field of marketing and operations, for the last nine years at Paradigma groep, a leading health and safety provider in the Netherlands as the Director of Marketing & Strategic Projects.

As a passion project, I am on the board of Honkbalweek Haarlem, the largest baseball tournament in Europe. This event is fully operated by volunteers and has made serious waves in the global baseball community since 1961.

To make a modest impact in my local community, I help the wonderful Mara Foundation in Rotterdam. This organization supports local homeless shelters for young adults and organizes activities that empowers these people. I assist with these activities as a volunteer.

For fun, I like to be around friends and family and I strive to be active as a runner and by playing tennis. And occasionally, you'll find me in a gym or catching a wave.
